Bryansford Avenue, Newcastle

The Design Brief

When landscape contractor Andrew Boyd undertook a project to transform a period style garden he visualised a modern day traditional style garden which retained some of the original ornate planting.
The original owners had spent time and effort on beautiful planting however the old red flag paving did not complement this and had become worn and overgrown; it was now time for a complete garden revamp which reflected this elegant home.

Customer Feedback

“The clients were not sure of the materials they wanted so we discussed the different paving materials available to them and settled on Bradstone Traditional Riven paving” explains Andrew, “the dark appearance of Traditional Riven suited the pedestrian traffic around the home and also contrasts the stained timber awning covering the barbeque area”
Moving from the barbeque towards the pond and garden the Traditional Riven paving opens out and turns into stepping stones with gravel jointing
The existing pond was retained and updated with a Traditional Riven coping. The flower beds surrounding the garden were finished off with rope top edging in the Weathered Limestone shade to complement the paving.
